Chick-fil-a and overalls

I pumped 3oz of milk today so my mom could watch Caleb for the first time, while I took the boys to Target and Chick-fil-a! What's new right?! Nick has been wearing overalls to work recently (which he thinks is sexy bahaha) which has caused Noah to desperately want a pair. So I got all three "big" a pair. Caleb already has some, but we didn't have any in bigger sizes. Noah got a 4T and the twins got 2T. They are adorable! I have never been a huge fan of overalls, but these I love! We ran into Allison, Zoie, and Debbie at Chick-fil-a and we ate with them and the kiddos all got to play. It was so good to chat with Allison! She is expecting a little boy in June! Yeah for boys! :)

Feet

These feet
I could just eat!

Snow!

Yesterday we got to take all the boys up to Jeremiah and Nicole's house to play in the newly fallen snow! They got about 5 inches! Noah has been asking all winter to go play in the snow since he got to last year and he remembered it. I didn't think we would be able to go this year, so I was excited for the chance. The twins had never played in the snow at all since we left them with Grammy last year since they were only 10 months old last year when we went! Of course Caleb has never been in the snow either, and he didn't have much of an opinion about it this year! Anyway, they all loved it! We didn't have enough snow clothes to go around though, so they got cold eventually, but they were troopers even when their hands got too cold for quite a while! Afterwards all the cousins got to play together inside, which or course they all love! The twins kept climbing onto the top bunk, those crazy boys! Miah was even hanging off at one point, and luckily I came in a rescued him before he fell! Noah ran around the house in his underwear and a cowboy hat since his clothes were all wet. It was a sight! haha Love all the boy cousins! Nicole is finding out what she is having on Friday! Will it be another crazy boy, or a girl finally?!

I love 3 months!

Caleb turned 3 months old on the 18th! I have to say that 3 months old is one of my favorite ages! Can you see why!? Caleb is all smiles and coos and he is so much fun! And his brothers dote on him to no end! He now weighs 16 pounds 8 ounces, which is the 90th percentile for his age! It is nice that he is such a sturdy little baby already since he has 3 brothers who tend to be a little too rough with him if I am not careful! See how Caleb is bringing his sweet little hands together! That is new for him just these past few weeks! It is so cute to watch him discovering his own hands! They entertain him for 20 minutes sometimes...just checking out his hands! He also now likes to grab toys that are dangled in front of him, like off of the handle on his carseat! It makes him more able to be entertained while riding in the car or sitting in a bouncy seat since he reaches out and touches things! I love watching this boy grow! :) Caleb had a breakthrough with napping this past month! I tried letting him nap on his tummy, and he fell asleep on his own in less than 5 minutes! It was amazing! I tried to let him sleep on his tummy when he was a little younger and he didn't like it, but now he has been napping so much better during the day, sometimes for 2 hours or more. He still sometimes wakes at around 45 minutes, but can often be put back to sleep with just a little pat on the back or bottom! It is so nice to be able to lay him down for naps quickly since the twins destroy things when I leave the room to lay him down, even if it's only for a few minutes. I have to be quick!

Caleb brings so much joy to our whole family. Noah especially loves to talk to him and hold him. I love listening to Noah talk to Caleb, and hearing him repeat the babytalk and pet names that Nick and I call him. Noah can often be overheard refering to Caleb, as "my precious one", "chubba chubbas"or as Nick sometimes lovingly refers to him as, "big fat baby". haha Noah repeats them all!
Even though he is sleeping so much better on his own, I still love carrying Caleb in a sling or carrier while he sleeps, and he loves it too. It is seriously one of my favorite things to do with him right now, and I totally missed that with all the other kids! :( It is so precious to look down and watch him sleeping while nuzzling my chest, and I will treausure the memories and pictures of us forever! My heart!

We ate Juan Pollo by candelight tonight, complete with red heart Mylar balloons for decorations. The kids loved it, and Micah kept saying happy birthday! I guess all the balloons made him think we were having a birthday party! I wanted to at least do a little something special for Valentine's Day, and this did the trick! Nick took the boys for a walk to the park, so I was able to set everything up to surprise them all.

After dinner the kids took their bath and wanted to bring the balloons along! Who'd a thunk three balloons from the dollar tree store would be such a hit!?

iPhone

I got a new iphone tonight! I am so excited to be able to take pictures and post them right to facebook from my phone. I am a dork. After we got it we went to Chick-fil-a and it was pirate and princess night! There were so many people there! Jessica came with us to Verizon and to eat. Caleb slept almost the whole time in the carrier I made. Fun times!

Why some boys wear purple lipstick.

Doesn't my son look thrilled to be wearing purple lipstick? Poor baby.

Well, truth be told, it is not purple lipstick at all, and I am not just pretending I have a baby girl. Not that baby girls wear purple lipstick, at least none I have ever met. I regress. It is something called Gentian Violet, which is a natural cure for thrush/yeast. Caleb and I have been passing a yeast infection back and forth via breastfeeding for over a month now, and I decided to give this cure a try! Considering his mouth is purple and he breastfeeds, you don't even want to know what else is also purple! ha! Seriously though, this stuff really works, and I think the infection is going away in both of us. Hopefully I won't have anymore pain during nursing soon, so I can get back to enjoying the bonding time, instead of gritting my teeth and baring it!
And one more time, for the record...Caleb is clearly not very happy about his purple lips!
